작가 김정석의 작업은 인간의 사회적 자아와 그 안에 내재한 다중의 자아를 입체로 형상화한다. 손과 머리 사이의 긴밀한 관계와 상호 작용으로 표출된 작업의 결과는 곧 가마 소성 후 내화 석고 틀을 해체하며 드러난 반투명의 유리인 것이다. 그의 유리 두상과 가면 연작은 사회적 자아와 내면에 존재하는 개인적 자아의 병립을 상징화하고 있다.
Artist Kim Jung-seok's work embodies the human social self and the multiple self inherent in it in three dimensions. The result of the work expressed through the close relationship and interaction between the hand and the head is the translucent glass that was revealed by dismantling the refractory plaster frame after kiln firing. His series of glass heads and masks symbolizes the parallelism of the social self and the individual self that exists inside.
