작가 박현곤은 주로 네온, 거울, 전기, 빛을 매체로 사용한 설치 작품을 제작한다. 그는 전통적인 회화 재료에서 더 나아가 LED, 반사 유리 등 다양한 장치와 소품들을 사용하여 공간 속 환영(illusion)을 구현한다. 사실상 닫힌 공간을 강조하고 무한 반사 효과가 주는 ‘개방성’이 오히려 갇힘과 폐쇄의 역설을 드러내고 있다.
Artist Park Hyeongon primarily creates installation works using neon, mirrors, electricity, and light as his media. Moving beyond traditional painting materials, he employs various devices and props such as LEDs and reflective glass to construct illusions within space. By emphasizing enclosed spaces, the seemingly infinite reflections evoke a paradoxical sense of entrapment and confinement, rather than openness.
