빛의 사유 展은 안성만, 윤효정, 이범주, 이진휘, 이혜진 5인의 초대 기획 전시이다. 도자에서의 빛은 물질적인 매개체 역할을 통해 비물질적 가치로 환원시키고, 각기 다른 작품들은 ‘빛을 담는 공간’이 된다. 작가들은 빛을 매개로 한 도자의 조형성, 유약의 색감, 질감 표현 등 물질 탐구를 통해 비물질적 가치를 사유한다. 안성만 작가는 AI의 디지털 시대에 걸맞은 3D 프린팅 기술을 활용하여 도자 조형을 한다. 이범주 작가는 도자 작품에 관한 지속적인 사용 가능성을 고려하여 디자인을 발상한다. 반면 윤효정 작가는 전통적인 도자 기법에서 더 나아가 시간과 공을 들여 독자적인 유약의 기법을 발현한다. 이진휘 작가는 소성된 유약 조각들을 짜 맞춰 나가는 독특한 퍼즐 창작 기법을 창출한다. 이혜진 작가는 존재에 관한 고민을 인간의 형상 작업을 통해 보여준다 이처럼 현대 도예 작가 5인의 기획 전시는 현대 도예의 새로운 미감을 선보인다.
The Thought of Light is a curated invitational exhibition featuring five contemporary ceramic artists: Ahn Sung-man, Yun Hyo-jung, Lee Beom-joo, Lee Jin-hwi, and Lee Hye-jin. In ceramics, light functions as a material medium that is ultimately transformed into an immaterial value, and each of the works becomes a “space that holds light.” Through the exploration of form, glaze colors, and textural expression mediated by light, the artists contemplate the immaterial values embodied in ceramics. Ahn Sung-man employs 3D printing technology to create ceramic forms that resonate with the digital age of AI. Lee Beom-joo conceives his designs with an emphasis on the sustainable usability of ceramic works. In contrast, Yun Hyo-jung advances beyond traditional ceramic methods, developing her own glaze techniques through painstaking time and effort. Lee Jin-hwi pioneers a unique puzzle-like approach, assembling fired glaze fragments into innovative compositions. Lee Hye-jin reflects on questions of existence through sculptural works inspired by the human figure. Together, the works of these five artists present a fresh aesthetic perspective on contemporary ceramics.
