통인화랑은 도자 전문 직업훈련 교육을 이수한 수료생 12인과 직업훈련교사 2인, 기관장 김진아 작가 등 총 15인의 도예가들이 함께한 손끝에 머문 시간 展을 개최한다. 단순한 교육을 넘어, 숙련된 기술을 바탕으로 자신만의 독창적인 예술 세계를 구축해가는 신진 도예가들의 힘찬 도약을 알리는 전시이다. 참여 작가들은 전통적인 재료는 물론 금속, 유리 파편 등 이종 재료의 과감한 접목을 통해 도자 예술의 경계를 현대적으로 확장하는 실험을 선보인다. 흙을 다루며 보낸 노력과 수련의 시간을 담는 동시에, 도자 재료가 지닌 수천 년의 역사와 품어온 시간의 깊이를 함께 은유한다.
At Tong-In Gallery, fifteen ceramic artists—including twelve graduates who have completed a specialized professional training program in ceramics, two vocational training instructors, and the institution’s director, artist Jina Kim—present the exhibition “Moments Resting at the Fingertips.” More than a culmination of education, this exhibition marks a bold leap forward for emerging ceramic artists who are building their own unique artistic worlds upon a foundation of refined craftsmanship. The participating artists experiment with the boundaries of ceramic art, not only through traditional materials but also by boldly incorporating heterogeneous ones such as metal and glass fragments, reinterpreting the medium in a contemporary context. Each work embodies the time, effort, and discipline devoted to mastering clay, while simultaneously evoking the profound depth of history and the enduring passage of time carried within ceramic materials over millennia.
