Artist Kim Namyong visualizes three-dimensional structures on a flat surface in order to reveal a divergence from conventional perception. By placing meticulously rendered structural forms—repeated throughout his work—with precise shading and perspective alongside both their two-dimensional representations and three-dimensional physical counterparts within a single space, he creates an optical illusion that oscillates between the real and the actual. The <DIFFERENCE> series stimulates and challenges fixed frameworks of perception.
