Artist Kim Byungsoo has been exploring his own sculptural language centered on fleeting landscapes that captivate the eye. A solitary figure seen from behind within vast nature, deserted forests and seas, and empty tennis courts — these familiar yet strangely unfamiliar everyday spaces that inspire him are transformed into particular places offering a sense of “unfamiliar comfort.” The tranquil moments captured on his canvas embody his quiet yet intense confession: an unceasing search for solace and balance within an imperfect reality.
