Ceramic artist Han Minwoo describes himself as a “traditional ceramic artist,” yet his practice does not simply reproduce tradition as a form inherited from the past. Through clay, fire, and the passage of time involved in making, he reinterprets the values of transmission from a contemporary perspective, exploring the possibilities of contemporary ceramics beyond the boundaries between tradition and modernity.
